Organizations Catholics Forbidden to Join

I have a question regarding groups that Catholics are forbidden to join. I know there was a list by a local Bishop in Nebraska that was produced many years ago. That list included, among others, Freemasons and the sub groups along with Planned Parenthood. I believe there was a more formal Vatican document that addresses the organizations that Catholics are forbidden to join. Does anyone know the document I am referring to or is there a web link to the document? Thanks for the help!

PS - To put to rest any questions before they are asked - I am in no way interested in joining the Freemasons or any other affiliated group. 👍

There may have been a list at one time, but I don’ think the Vatican maintains a list at the present time. With all the groups in all the countries of the world (and new ones cropping up every day), it would present an exercise in futility to properly maintain it. An individual bishop has the authority to make a list for his diocese. IMO, it makes more sense to do it at the diocesan level anyway.

Here’s a link to Humanum Genus, Pope Leo XIII’s 1884 encyclical condemning freemasonry. Here’s a more recent 1985 statement of the CDF on the same group.
 
Catholics are forbidden to join any group or organizations that work against the mission of the church. So that would include freemasons, hells angels, pro choice groups, other religions ect,
