Original sin - all human existence?

What is original sin? Martin E. Marty writes: “It means that the human disposition to do evil is not located only in parts of life, such as in murdering or stealing. Instead all dimensions of human existence, including prayer and spiritual life, distance us from God and reveal the marks of imperfection”. (p56 “Baptism - a users guide”)

I want to exchange “all dimensions of human existence” to “all human thinking” or “all human judgement” or something like it.

Any comment on that?

I suggest you read the Catechism section on the Fall and Original Sin.
 
Martin E. Marty isn’t Catholic, so I would take his comments with a sizable heap of salt. 😃

Try reading St. John of the Cross, instead.
 
Not to avoid the question, of course you don’t read Juan de la Cruz to answer it.
