To me the first sin from the garden occured when Adam and Eve were asked from God “What have you done” and they both passed the buck and pointed their finger instead of owning up to there sin. I always will wonder what God would have done if Adam said I failed and now understand shame. Will you please forgive me.
What do you think???

As Genesis tells it, paradise was conditional - enjoy this paradise but don’t eat of the fruit. It was clearcut deal. Our forefather and and mother broke the deal and suffered the consequence. Their mind was opened and could see good and evil. This is the essence of original sin - we are no longer innocent.

Hi

I think every sin, if done, is original and is forgivable on repentance and asking forgiveness from God Allah. It is only Paul who scandilized the mistake of Adam and Eve, and made it hereditary for the purpose of his Mythical Theological Philosophy based on sin and Jesus dieing on Cross. There is no mention of “Original Sin” in the OTBible, I think, pehaps it was coined by Paul when Jesus was on his journey to India.

Our Catholic friends would find in the OTBible mention of sins/mistakes being forgiven by GodAllahYHWH on repentance and asking forgiveness from him.

I just searched in the online Catholic Bible, I could not find the words “Original Sin” in the OTBible. I don’t think Jesus ever used the the term"Original Sin" from his mouth. It is always our Catholic friends putting words, in my opinion, into the mouth of Jesus and then making him god also.

No disrespect is intended to anybody; we are only discussing things in search of truth.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

What is the definition of “Original Sin” anyway? Original Sin is A Condition away from God. In Paradise, human are within God. Once human fooled by the devil, then human was away from God. That what does it mean as Adam and Eve were expelled from God, and Paradise was guarded by the angel so Adam and Eve, could not enter again. From that time period, human are no longer within God’s domain. So, every human born afterward, is called carrying the Original Sin, since human is born outside God’s domain.

The origin of the teaching of Original Sin comes from the book of Genesis, not from Paul. It is Paarsurrey who keep on accusing without giving any proof. Even Paar could not provide a single proof of the teaching of Paul which is incompatible with the teaching of Jesus. BTW, Paar owed an explanation that he keep on avoiding of how the “tomb” of Jesus “traveling” from one place to another before ending up in India.

So, as human was guarded away from “Paradise”, it means that human at his/her own power will never be able to come back to the domain of God. Here come Jesus the savior. As Jesus obeyed God to out-most and to his death, not even fall to the temptation of evil. Jesus became the “Way to God”. Jesus the Word of God, became human, and given the form of human, Jesus has returned the fact that human is created at the image of God, to the fullness. Jesus, in the form of human and within human’s weaknesses, has shown to the devil that human IS CAPABLE OF FOLLOWING THE WILL OF GOD. That makes Jesus is so special and can not simply be called as myth. (I wonder btw who is more mythical, Jesus or Khrisna)

Without Jesus, no one can come back to the domain of God. That is why the death of Jesus reunite human and God. In that case, Paradise is reopened. Even the criminal crucified alongside with Jesus get Jesus’ word to enter the Paradise. Every human accepts Jesus, is within the domain of God. Therefore, as a symbol of baptism, it is taught that in baptism, the original sin is cleared. By Baptism, human come back to the domain of God.

Muhammad was correct to describe Jesus as Kalimathullah and Hadith Bukhari was correct to describe all human was touched by satan at birth, except Jesus. But, Muhammad fell short to give further thoughts about who Jesus really is.

Christianity has consumed so much time and lifes of its martyrs to ponder what is written in the bible, to come out what of the teaching as of today, for about 2000 years. Clearly Christianity is based on the teaching of Jesus in its fullness, and not based on any other thing, especially self-claim book called as the word of God.

It is to the teaching of Jesus that Christianity must be judged upon, not to the opinion of some scientist who want to get rich and famous by following Dan Brown’s way, but scared to death to follow Salman Rusdhie’s way.

It is clear that the accusers does not know Christianity, does not even read the bible in its fullness, except pieces of disconnected verses, and make conclusion out of it. But, the problem is, dare to accuse without understanding what he accuses.

Of course you could not find them because they are not there, duh!

Your line of argument is good for Sola Scripture Protestants but not in this forum, sorry. Maybe you should ask one or two Catholics here for the sources of their belief. But I think the concept of original sin is too complicated for you to grasp. Well, never mind, and besides your religion does not like complicated issue. So forget about it.
