So since the 12 apostles did more than the minimum we should strive to do less?

Christ came to fulfill the law. And while we are not saved by the law, the law shows us our sin. If in looking to the law to find our own sin in order that we know what it is that separates us from God and we find ourselves with a growing distaste for the sin in our lives and therefore try to sin less - as it is sin that pulls us away from God; why would you instruct your brothers to ignore the law?
If there is no law, then there is no transgression of the law and therefor no sin. If there is no law and no sin, there is no need for a savior. Am I saying anything untrue?
There is one law of the ten written by the hand of God that begins with the word remember, and that is the one most men chose to ignore.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.**
Keeping the law does not in anyway guarantee salvation. And we can see that even them that break and teach others to break Gods laws will be in heaven, but clearly it is not pleasing to God that we should break His laws, or why would they be called least? But salvation gives us a desire to follow God’s law so we can decrease and He can increase in us. A desire to follow God’s laws springs from a closer walk with our creator and the knowledge that we are accepted in our pitiful and fallen state. It is a desire to be like our creator and savior.

why would i instruct my brothers and sisters to be put under a load, the apostles stated they themselves could not bear? we are to follow the perfect law of love. this transcends the ten commandments, and the entire mosaic law. it goes deeper. it is this law, that the mosaic law was pointing to. this is the one that is engraved on our hearts, instead of stone. read James. what does he say? what does Paul say? by following the Law of love, we are in fact obeying the whole law. Adventist are stuck on the letter, and fail to see the New testament message of Jesus and the Apostles. they miss the boat on this and other weighty matters. am i saying anything untrue? peace

Galations 3:8-10 And the scripture, forseeing that God justifieth the Gentiles by faith, told unto Abraham before: in thee shall all nations be blessed. Therefore, they that are of faith, shall be blessed with faithful Abraham. For as many as are under the works of the law, are under a curse. For it is written: Cursed is everyone, that abideth not in all the things, which are written in the book of the law and do them. i can add much more if you like, but does the Apostle say anything untrue? the fact of the matter, is that the mosaic law was fufilled perfectly in Jesus Christ. and we were given the perfect law of love, instead of the mosaic law.
