i was talking few days ago with a catholic priest, and considering that i am orthodox, i told him that i act as an altar server in my orthodox parish, and i told him that i like to visit catholic masses from time to time. Than he told me that i could also, if i wish, to be an altar server in the catholic church. I explained that i am orthodox and that i dont know if that is allowed, but he said that it is ok. Does any of you know about such cases.

Have you asked permission from your Orthodox priest? If not you should. 🙂

Regardless of what the Catholic priest may or may not allow you to do in his parish, this is something to discuss with your Orthodox priest. You are under the jurisdiction of your Orthodox Church and should not participate in non-Orthodox liturgies without permission. It is my understanding the Orthodox do not permit communion in Catholic Churches, even though the Catholic Church would allow Orthodox to commune under some circumstances.

Agreed, if the Eastern Orthodox Church does not allow you, then do not.

As previous people have said, it is contingent on your spiritual father giving you permission to do so.

thank you for your answers, i will consult my priest about this
