Honestly one thing about me that I guess you could label as Protestant is my views on the Atonement. Unless someone can seriously convince me otherwise, I believe in Penal Substitution, a more Calvinist notion. I think it is more precise than the Anselmian view of the Atonement, which is close.
I had a thread about the Atonement that didn’t get much press on here. I was disappointed. It was mostly Anna and I talking on there. The Atonement is KEY IMO. Perhaps I’ll give it a whirl again and start a new, better version of that thread.
I think Penal Subsitution is most Biblical, logical, and true. But, like I’ve said before, I could be wrong. It’s a rare moment that I agree with Senor Calvin on ANYTHING! LOL
