From what I understand the orthodox accept more books than we do in the bible. Why is this and does this undermine the authority of the catholic church for the scriptures?

The books of the Bible, the final list, among the reasons for the books being in the canon…is that these were traditionally read in the Churches…so the Orthodox have more books because these additional books were read traditionally in their Churches.From what I understand the orthodox accept more books than we do in the bible. Why is this and does this undermine the authority of the catholic church for the scriptures?
It does not undermine the authority of the CC, because the authority of the Church, and for the Orthodox too, does not depend or rest on the Bible but in the bishops of the Church.

How could it? There is only one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church founded by the Christ. She has the fullness of truth and defined what writings comprise the Word of God, no more and no less.Shaolen #1

No one and no other Church or sect can legitimately challenge Christ who established His Church on St Peter as His Chief Vicar and the other Apostles and which teaches with His authority on faith and morals to the whole world, infallibly.
