How many churches make up Holy Orthodoxy? Can the diffierent Orthodox (i.e. Russian, Greek, Serbian, etc.) take communion in each other’s churches? Do they all share the same beliefs? Do they use the same Bible?

Thank you.

Jean

There are 15 or so Autocephalous Churches and 3 or 4 Autonomous Churches in the worldwide Orthodox Communion of Churches.

All are in full communion with each other, but adminsitratively independent.

This is not to count various Old Calenderist jurisdictions–the Orthodox equivalents of SSPX, SSPV, or sede vacantists. (Don’t ask! It’s confusing enough to us.)

Your headline is true, but a little behind the times. That hasn’t been news for centuries.
