Orthodox converts to Catholicism

Hello, I’ve been looking on google for stories of Orthodox Christians who have become Catholic, but there don’t seem to be any that come up immediately.

I’m personally trying to decide between Catholicism and Orthodoxy, so if anyone knows a place where I can find stories of people who have converted to Catholicism from Orthodoxy, or if anyone here is a convert, I’d be interested in hearing what convinced you of the truth of the Catholic faith.

I’ve already found Journey to Orthodoxy where I’ve found instances of Catholics becoming Orthodox, ironically when I was searching for “Orthodox converts to Catholicism”

P.S. I know there is a thread like this but I am interested in actual conversion stories, and it seems like that thread has turned into a debate on which is better.

The inevitable fate of all threads that dare mention Orthodoxy.

But in all seriousness, I’ve encountered them online from time to time, almost always it is a case of converting to Eastern Catholicism rather than Roman Catholicism (in part because this is what the Church prefers and they make it easy for someone who is Orthodox to become Eastern Catholic). There are a few posters here who fit the bill, they’ll likely answer. If you ask the same question in the Eastern Catholic forum they’re almost guaranteed to answer.

one difference I have noted…the Catholic Church honors the Orthodox Church, however the Orthodox Church seems less charitable towards Catholics…honor is in the one honoring

Agreed. perhaps if this is asked in the EC forum, you might get the answers you’re looking for.
