orthodox jews and contraception

I know that orthodox jews are enthusiastic about procreation but do they forbid artificial contraception under all circumstances?

anyone know?

There is rabanical ruling against contraception the destroys the “seed”.

Jewish law is a little tricky on this.

There are separate rulings by different Rabbis. Some say the commandment to be fruitful and multiply precludes any contraception, others say that only methods which destroy the seed are wrong (Onanism) still others say the prohibition on birth control is only binding on men so if a women uses the pill or IUD or diapham it would be ok. It depends on your Rabbi.
