I think that St. Herman and St. Peter the Aleut were both Russian Orthodox Christians, so it goes to attest to **the unity of our Orthodox Faith **that even us Greek Orthodox Christians have both of them on our calendar and celebrate Feast Days for them.Yep, we both celebrate St. Herman on the 13th (which was what I meant by “tomorrow” it’s right around midnight here, so tomorrow is a hard to define term), but the OCA celebrates St. Peter on Sept 24th with All Saints of Alaska. The EP today (or tomorrow depending). To be honest I like the idea of a seperate day for him.![]()
I don’t think it matters much about on which day on the calendar they happen to show up on in the different (yet same) Orthodox Church(es).
