THe CC allows for belief in evolution, but states that we must believe that we are decended from a real first couple, because that is the only way we could inherit original sin.

In the Orthodox understanding, we inherit death. Is this understood to be something that is inherited physically through the body? And if so, would it mean that Orthodoxy would also assert that for this reaso there must be a common decent from a first couple?

I don’t follow.

Evolution is not considered to be contrary to Orthodox teaching, if that is the question.
