Hi everyone,
I’ve posted this on Phat Mass but will post here too.
Have you seen and looked through the Vision vocation Guide, the magazine? How about the Our Sunday Visitor Vocation Issue?
Do you use magazines anymore? Or do you just look online?
Do you look at the ads, the articles…?
Have you ever contacted a community from seeing their ad in a magazine, or at least visited their website to check them out?
I’m going to try to set up a poll here to get some of the basics, but your replies to the topic would be most helpful.
Thanks and God bless.

I think that I may have seen the Vision guide and I can’t remember for sure if I flipped through it. I found most of the communities I visited and the one I entered from the CMSWR website and word of mouth.
I don’t see how to answer the poll.

Just a reminder that the 31st. annual edition of A Guide to Religious Ministries for Catholic Men and Women, publ. by Catholic News for only $10.00 is now available.
This guide is the most comprehensive one available on religious orders, secular institutes and volunteer opportunities in the US.

You can order thru the website, www.religiousministries.com, or by calling or mailing them.

I’m sorry but I’m not too sure how to answer or respond to the poll either.

Is this the magazine you’re asking about?

Yes, I have received this magazine (10-20) along with bookmarks.

Yes, I have read this magazine and shared the rest I received with family, friends, and parishioners.

I probably started a few threads on Vision Vocation Guide 3 months ago in the Spirituality and Vocation section.

No, I have never heard of “Our Sunday Visitor Vocation” but I’ll be sure to check it out online.

Both magazines, books, online can be helpful but the most helpful in my journey is God.

I think I answered this question but yes I look at the ads and articles they’ve been helpful.

Yes, I most likely checked out their communties although I don’t see the Religious order I am walking with.

Another booklet/magazine I read is called Catholic Digest. A Religious Brother I know sends this to me, after I’m done reading this I share it with a family member.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to the post and/or poll.
I know this isn’t comprehensive, in that you may have looked at other materials or sites.
I think we need to do some advertising, just so that people know about us, but it can get quite expensive so I like to make sure that the advertising is worth while and we’re not wasting money.
OSV says that they send out their vocation issues to every parish and school, but apparently they aren’t getting put out for people to see.
Thanks again and God bless.
