I think if OP’s ‘friend’ thinks there are too many kids around, then OP’s ‘friend’ should have kept his pants zipped up. Doesn’t he know what causes that? Anyway, he should stop being so intolerant of our alternative lifestyle.

Are you guys talking about Lenny Kravitz? (I’m pretending to be younger than I really am)

I know from working at certain apartment complexes they will tell you to move if you exceed the amount of children specified on the lease. My friend owns his town house. Many of his over crowded neighbors don’t own, and are subject to rental agreements limiting occupancy, plain and simple. Some of you seem touchy about addressing the need for housing the big families you advocate. Almost to say we this is really anti family speech. I see housing as a very real concern and a matter of social justice.

As I said I am not anti- big family. However, I guarantee placing nine or ten kids in a three bedroom town home will eventually find a social worker coming to visit. I know. I stated I was in the school system, Certain things we were told we had to report. If some kid told me he was sleeping on the floor because be didn’t have a bed. I had a report to write and turn in. It is not an area to try to solve on one’s own, as in the fantasy movies. If you got out on your own you end up getting fired.

As for me being anti Hispanic and being caught up with this bigoted business around my area. Que puedo decir la mujer mas cerca de mi corazon viene de America del Sur. Estoy segurgo que me gusta la idea de casarnos y tendramos una familia. En ningun manera estoy yo contra las familia

I think this is all just silly!!! My family had the means to take care of all the children they had and then my Mom and Dad both lost their jobs because of budget cuts. Six of us ended up in a two bedroom townhouse because that is all they could afford. We were not the ones causing trouble in the complex. It was the two single guys who rented across the street that grew pot in their window gardens. One never knows what the future will hold. It is not leagal in that state to limit the number of immediate family that can live in a unit. Honostly how much power are you will to give the government. Call a spade a spade and don’t make generalizations. If there is a drug problem, then there is a drug problem. If the family across the street has bad behaving kids then they aren’t the best parents.

Ah the Tenth Amendment. Maybe your state does not restrict family occupancy. However It is legal in my state to limit occupancy by the square foot and they will take children away from families if they feel conditions become dangerous These are under health and safety codes, not building codes. Perhaps the answer is check your state laws before deciding this is where one will have a big family. That is all I ask of folks look it up and don’t assume “Government” will leave you alone.

My other points about over crowding bringing an area down I think best explain things. Otherwise one starts to encounter to bigots spouting about things were better before this group or that group moved in the area. That is offensive,

I think it is just a matter of too little quality housing and other associated resources.
