There is no evidence of state-backed “genocide” of Armenians and it is not “taqqiya” but a historical fact. Read what established historians of university faculties have written on this issue…hint : Bernard Lewis etc
Secondly, what about French genocide of Algerians? We all know the true face of Christianity …
Even the historians I’ve come across who refuse to use the term “genocide” (if only due to technicalities) admit the Turks killed and deported with the intent of killing millions of Armenians. Even before 1915 the Ottoman Empire, under both the Sultans and the Young Turks, had a tendency to massacre Christians every few years. Even after 1915 there were plans to conduct a similar slaughter against the Jews. The Young Turks were talked out of it by, of all people, their German allies.
Of course the reason for this major target of the Armenians, and the proposed targeting of the Jews, was because they were siding with the Turkish enemies (Might have something to do with those other, smaller slaughters, but whatever).
So then let us compare how the Turkish government of the day dealt with restive Arab regions. We have an excellent example in the client kingdom of Hejaz.
Here the Turks impressed males of military age into their forces and sent them into battle as cannon fodder at Gallipoli. Families were not uprooted, and there were no massacres, just men being forced to fight for the Empire - something that was going on around Europe in regions that were not restive at the same time.
As for the Algerian War, that’s a joke of a counter argument, and sad that the Turkish government decided to use it. First off, France has acknowledged that massacres took place, and second the numbers used are total civilians dead, and seems to assume that all of them were Algerian dead at the hands of the French.
Finally, France isn’t a Christian State, and wasn’t at the time of the Algerian War. Turkey, IIRC, was officially a Muslim state until 1922.
