Ouija Board found in home

I am currently being housed by a guest family in a new town that I moved into. I am saving up money for my own place to move out but for now I am not able to afford to move out. Recently when my guest family went out for dinner or something I was walking around the house and I found a Ouija Board!!! I was really scared and shocked. I did not touch it. When the family came back I told them about my beliefs and that I am not comfortable around it. I asked them if they could throw it away. They laughed at me and told me that they do not use it and that they won’t use it around me but that the board is not leaving the house.

Because it is not my house I obviously cannot throw it out. I am praying every morning. I am here for the next 2 months. I feel so weird around here. What do i do? I am praying alot. Am i protected?

just stay away from it; the family probably just treats it as a novelty item…
 
they told me they used it before…yea im just so sad by all of this…i cant wait to move out…please may you all PRAY FOR ME!
 
You don’t need the prayers as much as they do. You will not have to answer to God for this, but they will.

First and foremost, I would ask the priest at your local parish. The occult is not to be taken lightly. He would be able to direct you in the best course of action.

Personally, I would continue your prayers but be wary of the possibility of the demonic. You only need to live there for two months. With prayer and fortitude, it is possible to endure demonic presences in the vicinity. If you can find a place for adoration this, too, would be helpful. Many graces are given while before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

If you need any help with specific occurrences on this issue, feel free to send me a message. When I was in college, I studied abroad in Rome. Our dorms ended up being situated above a shop which sold occult items like ouija boards. I lived there for four months and experienced pretty much everything you can about the demonic short of full blown possession (and have come into contact with that since then). I will give you all the help I can. Support is very important in these instances. Never try to endure it alone.

A baptized Christian has no need to fear a Ouija board as long as he doesn’t use it.
