I have posted before about our dog Angus who has cancer. He is 7 and a half years old. We have just returned from the Companion Animal Center at the Ontario Veterinary College. His cancer has resisted all the available treatment and there is nothing more they can do.

I have faith that God can still help him and give us more time with him. I would ask for your prayers for his healing.

We had a German Shepherd a number of years ago with blood findings such that veterinarian said that it wasn’t really worthwhile continuing vaccinations for her. I prayed for her and many years later we had her put to sleep when she was almost 16 years old.

I know God answers prayers like this and with your help I hope he will do so with Angus.

My prayer for your dog. We just lost our dear ‘Ruby’ so I understand your love and concern.
God places His wonderful creations ( our loving dogs) in our lives for special reasons/ purposes)

Heavenly father we pray for this creature of God that you may keep your healing hand over him and help him return to good health. Lord we know and we trust that You know what is best and we put our faith into your hands. Heavenly father if it is your will we pray that a miracle be worked and that this beloved creature can return to good health and live out his life with his family. As always we ask these prayers through Jesus Christ your only son our Lord, who was crucified, died, and was buried for the forgiveness of our sins.

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Angus). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Angus’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Angus who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

FOR ANIMALS, OUR PETS

Good St. Francis, you loved all of God’s creatures.
To you they were your brothers and sisters.
Help us to follow your example
of treating every living thing with kindness.
St. Francis, Patron Saint of animals,

Prayer for a Sick Pet

Heavenly Father,
Please help us in our time of need,
You have made us stewards of Angus.
If it is Your will, please restore him
to health and strength.
We pray too for other animals in need.
May they be treated with the care and respect
deserving of all Your creation.

Dear Jesus, please help this family to have as much time as possible with their beloved dog, Angus. Please also help this family to understand when and if Angus’ suffering becomes too great.
