Our existence

I was wondering, what evidence do I have for my own existence, as well as the existence of a reality outside of myself?

Dear Friend,

You exist because this question did not come from Mars. It came from you and I am answering you. I also suspect that you heard “Catholic Answers Live” this past Monday when I talked about the great gift that our existence is.

Objective reality is verifiable. We all experience the same variable and predictable results from our actions. If all our experience were subjective, we would not be able to communicate with one another----and we do!

You are aware of yourself. God has given you this great gift. He did not give it to the animals on this earth, but only to humans made in His own image and likeness.
