And there I was thinking you were in your own world. . . Oops, you’re not the solipsist. . . Never mind.I have been on your planet for some time now. . . .

This is what my kind has been doing for millions of years. Its cute to find other beings in the universe who want to do the same thing. This will also be considered by the committee before the final decision is made. Not as we are, but maybe that yearning reveals what we were meant to do, and will do after the resurrection - bring life to the entire universe.
Rather amusing that many higher beings claim that Men become their own monsters or create them without second thought. And yet, they are surprised when the conquerors, warriors, and violent misfits come together to become the biggest thing standing between them and their invasion.I have been on your planet for some time now.
It is true that you creatures appear to have a tendency towards selfishness and self destruction. Even the best of you are flawed and apparently insane.
But I have found something quite interesting when studying human beings. When great evil and calamity is against you, Humanity pulls together and creates great works of charity and self sacrifice that is wondrous to behold; and for that reason alone my stay here has been worthwhile. That’s why we have been abducting you and performing experiments. We have even successfully created hybrids between your kind and ours in the hope that our kind can walk among you without the need to reveal our true natures (this way are Dna will be preserved and will live on in humanity). If I can convince the committee, we will not have to take your world by force.
I will present this information in defence of humanity to my committee leaders. It will be a shame if they decide to go ahead with the harvesting process.
This is an interesting response. Prepare to be abducted by aliens.Rather amusing that many higher beings claim that Men become their own monsters or create them without second thought. What if we can’t replenish their supplies (ex: their ship is powered by rare elements) and they barely had enough to make it from their system to our planet (which would make sense given the enormous energy cost of interstellar travel).Should we suppose they are telling the truth? People will lie when they want stuff. Can we verify their story? One need not let them stay to be charitable. We could replenish some of their supplies and send them on their way if we can’t verify their story.
Reminds me a little bit of what happened on the Exodar. What if we can’t replenish their supplies (ex: their ship is powered by rare elements) and they barely had enough to make it from their system to our planet (which would make sense given the enormous energy cost of interstellar travel).
Or if their ship isn’t an SSTO then it may not have all of it’s parts by the time it reaches earth.
Hey, you’re describing me!What if … and their outward appearance is that of the common household cockroach, though they walk on two legs and are 7 to 8 feet in height?

I’d hire one as an assistant and personal bodyguard. Two birds in one bug! What if … they are super smart and have excellent manners, can speak all languages fairly fluently after a month of practice, but they all tend to be somewhat narcissistic and their outward appearance is that of the common household cockroach, though they walk on two legs and are 7 to 8 feet in height?

Two things:I’d hire one as an assistant and personal bodyguard. Two birds in one bug!![]()
The ship is an Ark. Many generations have lived and died on it. The ship is not made to be a permanent home, and God knows where the next liveable planet is or how long the hull is going to hold. Despite what the movies say, we are not that much more technologically advanced as you. Its an assumption to think that just because we have the technology for deep space travel that therefore we are capable of the impossible. We have technological limitations. What if we can’t replenish their supplies (ex: their ship is powered by rare elements) and they barely had enough to make it from their system to our planet (which would make sense given the enormous energy cost of interstellar travel).

How about:The ship is an Ark. . . . if trading is required, what we do have is the cure for aids and cancer.
FYI: I’m talking about the educational system as it manisfets itself in consumerist society, and meant for those who may imagine that materialism will lead us to the promised land of newer and better living, away from the old-to-be-discarded ideas such as religion. Blown up in the supernova of modern science? - hardly.. . . You are being grown in vats, pacified through a neurological connection to an electronic matrix, to be harvested when you ripen. . .
As far as this human is concerned, you’ve got a deal. But if trading is required, what we do have is the cure for aids and cancer.
