I’m not sure what category to put this in…
So my friend was telling me about Our Lady of America who appeared in Ohio in the 50s. I looked it up, found the official ourladyofamerica.com as well as an EWTN article https://www.ewtn.com/library/BISHOPS/burkeolamer.htm
I’ve never heard of this before and the Catholic speaker who she heard about it from said he was only mentioning Catholic Church Approved Marian Apparitions.
So is this officially approved? From what I understand, it is. However, I thought that Our Lady of Good Help was approved in 2010 and happened in the 1800s, making it the first approved apparition in the USA. How did they approve an apparition that happened in the 50s so fast in comparison to one in the 1800s?
Also, if this is legitimate, which would be awesome, I think we need to invoke Her intercession more! So many times Mary has tried to help us and warn us and yet I feel like not a lot of devotion or attention is paid to Her many of her messages… at least that I’ve heard of.
Any help is much appreciated!
