Our Lady of Fatima statue in Fatima

Not sure this is the proper place but I’ll ask anyway.

I was in Fatima back in July and spent a lot of time in Fatima trying to find a good replica of Our Lady of Fatima statue that is at the Bascilica. Was not successful. The one I bought is OK but not really a replica of the statue.

I was told by our tour guide that no one is allowed to make a replica of the statue. I was very disapppointed. I asked someone today who was in Fatima five years ago about it and she had the same problem.
 
I believe this may be the statue you’re talking about. Mind you, this statue comes at a very steep price! See if THIS might be what you’re looking for. It is the original Our Lady of Fatima Capelinha Statue. It is a copy of the original statue in the Chapel of Apparitions at the Shrine of Fatima in Portugal and the one used in processions.They have other copies of Fatima statues as well. They also have busts of these statues. Again, very pricey as all of these statues are wood carved.

Now that’s an understatement!

Yes, that is a closer copy of Our Lady of Fatima statue. Oh, well. I do prefer the statue in the Basilica, though.
 
These are just like the ones I saw in the Fatima shops. Not as nice as the original one.
