So according to Our Lady of Fatima, if Russia were not consecrated to Our Mother’s Immaculate Heart then it would spread it’s errors throughout the world. According to St. Lucia Blessed Pope John Paul II’s consecration of the world did not suffice in fulfilling Our Lady’s requests. I was just curious to see what everyone’s thoughts on this are. This is a very delicate matter. Becuse our POPE claims to have done as the BVM asked.

In retrospec it is hard to tell by the “fruits” of the action because the ERRORS had already been spread worldwide when His Holiness made this declaration.

I have seen and read a statment from the good saint where She agrees with our Pope; and I am also aware that while the “Spirit of the command” may have been met; the “LETTER of the command [Individual Consecration has not.”… WHY I do not know, but I suspect [IMO] Pope John Paul II [Now BLESSED] had such a close realtionship with our Lady that there are things we 1. DO NOT Know. 2. May NEVER Know. Given His Holiness special realtionship with our BVM, it is inconceivable to me that He is in anyway complicit in avoiding HER Command.

God Bless,
Pat

Yeah, I see what you mean. In my honest opinion, I don’t believe that the Consecration was done correctly and we can clearly see by the increase of evil and relativism in our world today that the period of peace Our Lady promised has obviously not come to fruition. I think as catholics we should all do what we can to further Our Lady of Fatima’s message and place an emphasis on the need for the Pope to Consecrate Russia to Our Mother’s Immaculate Heart. And we do this by talking with our bishops and priests so that if our Pope calls for it, all the bishops will be in agreement.

It’s a strange thing. Agree that Blessed JP II would have done all he could to fulfill Our Lady’s request, but remember - it was to be the Pope and the Bishops of the world with him. Given the various stances of some Bishops - not in agreement with the Pope on different issues, that may have been a stumbling block he couldn’t get past.

I am not a devotee of Fatima, but I do know that I will believe the Holy See over anything that Fr. Grunner has to say.

Please see this site for more information on why Fatima.org is not the best site for information on this issue.
