WOW! This is so ironic. My dad brought home from Mexico this picture a couple days ago. I hung it on my wall yesterday but realized I knew nothing about it. So I did a quick search on the internet and came up empty. Thank you so much for posting this!!😃

Bishop Flores is going to be one of the great ones, I predict.

I have a great Bishop Fitzpatrick story. He had been up to San Antonio with some other priests for a conference, and they were driving back down to the Valley. They decided to stop at a popular halfway point for coffee. As the pulled in they debated the pronunciation of the name of the town. Is it Fall-fer-EYE-as, Fal-fuh-RYE-is, FALL-fur-ee-az. Inside the restaurant Bishop asked the clerk “how do you pronounce the name of this place?”
She answered slowly and distinctly
Dare-eee Queen.

His point: you won’t get the right answer if you don’t ask the right question.
LOL!!😃

From what I have read about Bishop Daniel Flores, he is everywhere. When Aux Bishop Cantu (San Antonio) was here in houston before he was elavate he was everywhere he taught in the seminary had pastor duties taught at U of St. Thomas. Seems they are everywhere
We in the Diocese of Brownsville have been blessed with a really great bishop in Bishop Flores. He has elevated the visibility of the diocese. He is everywhere and from what I have seen, he has energized the diocese.

However, the great fear is that we will lose him through promotion. A lot of the older Catholics will tell you that the last time we had a bishop this vibrant and exciting – Bishop Humberto Medeiros – he wound up being being moved to be Archbishop of Boston and got the cardinal’s hat.

We have been blessed, though, with some good and holy bishops like Bishops Fitzpatrick, San Pedro and Pena.

Ninth Day
Together with Mary. let us pray to God the Father who invites us to personal union with Him through prayer.
1.For the Church, through its prauer it always be an authentic sign of union with the Father in heaven: Let us pray to the Lord.
2.For those who govern our states and cities, that they always hold in high esteem the value of free religious expression…
3.For those who are suffering serve difficulties in their life, that they find comfort and resolution in their pray…
4. For ourselves, that our prayers in each and every circumstance, bring us to sincere and humble union with the Father…
5.That, like Mary, we too may be open to discerning the will of God for us in prayer.

Lord, you wish that we be in union with you and with one another. Help us,through the intercession of the Virgen De San Juan,to strenghten our faith by authentic and genuine ,practice prayer. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
Final Prayer.
