I love how the author described her imaginings about the life of the Blessed Virgin. A couple years ago, I started telling stories to my children of their visits with the Holy Family. The stories all started the same way, skipping down a dirt road beside a row of arbor vitae, making the right hand turn into the dirt path that led to a blue wooden front door. The rest of the story was full of things that my children “did” on their visit with the Holy Family, helping St. Joseph in his workshop, helping the Blessed Virgin set the table for dinner, playing with Child Jesus, climbing trees and playing with a little wooden toy that St. Joseph had made for Jesus. The stories delight my children, and reading the author’s words describing her devotion to the Blessed Virgin reminded me that it has been far too long since I last told a story. Thank you for sharing this link! 🙂
