Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Heaven please pray for us that we:
  • All are guided to say the right things to people in pain or suffering, to guide our words to reach our fellow members, and those in and beyond this forum, to bring them to your Most Holy Son’s table.
  • Say the right things, bringing people to pray your Holy Rosary and, or, to look to you for intercession before your Son, praying that he might guide us in our daily lives.
  • Keep us humble in all our affairs, protecting us from the sin of pride and vanity.
  • Help us to ignore slants or hurtful statements from fellow members who like us, suffer from the crushing weight of sin, and cry out from our pain, and to forgive us when we do the same.
  • Continue to draw closer, daily, to you and your Son on a daily basis, and draw away from sin.
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Prayer to Overcome Vanity

Vanity was not the way of the Lord!
Through purity of soul and intent,
He accomplished His Divine work.
While He shared with those who listened,
He submitted His knowledge to be digested,
Indicating it was the way to salvation,
Leaving each with the freedom to choose.
The way of Jesus was free of egotism;
I admire Your perfection my Lord!
Jesus, teach me to control my pride:
May it never reach the extent of vanity.
I seek to model You as a humble child!

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
