 Greetings and may Our Eternal Father, through the Sorrowful Passion and Sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ, perpetually Present at every Mass, and by the 7fold gifts and 12fruits of the Holy Spirit, in union with His Immaculate Spouse and the true Mother of all humanity and nations, abundantly bless any and all who made read this meager little offering of a post, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. And for those who for some silly reason can’t get past Vatican II, let alone the Vatican III of the future, In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti, Amen. Could someone please send this poor art student and poet a English-to-Latin, Latin-to-English dictionary…please??? The administrators here do have my email address right? I can give someone a mailing address. If someone would be so kind I would be happy to send some drawings of mine rendered in graphite that could be used with photoshop or something else. C’mon guys, help a fellow out here, I like to title my poems with simple little sanctimonius Latin phrases like ‘Angelicus Ascendsus.’ Good heavens, if I only had a site to write this stuff, but I want to have a try at making a poetic journal. A dream come true for this unemployed artist would be a cruise and a concert with Charlotte Church, my favorite Welsh singer. Even if I am from the very center of the state of Illinois, 45 miles from Springfield, I can still have classical tastes right? I guess this puts me in the category of a really eccentric oddball. Ah yes, I am 29 and all of my study has been completely a personal endeavor. My favorite reads are the writings of the ‘king of philosophers,’ Our beloved Holy Father (saint?) Pope John Paul II otherwise know as Fr. Karol Wojtyla. I intend to compose a poem based on the title given for him in the prophecies of Saint Malachy. What I do know is that I made a simple error in judgement about who I thought would be the next Holy Father. I mentioned in an earlier post that it could be Cardinal Walter Kasper and the reason I thought this was because of his being of Germanic origin if I am not mistaken. The actual prophecy of Saint Malachy which has not been proven wrong to this date names the next one as ‘from the glory of the olive.’ This obviously is making mention of the ‘Olive Branch,’ that so clearly represents Israel and the Peace of Our Lord we hope their nation and their neighbors will have, but more importantly the Jewish people. I understand that many people of Germanic and some areas of Eastern Europe do indeed have Jewish lineage in their families. Now, that aside, I need to say for the sake of any argument that ALL people are related to the Semitic people in some way. If you have faith to believe that we came from two original parents, then hey! Your not on the ‘right’ track, you’re on the most harmonious of tracks! Anyway, after simple consideration I must restate what I said and I will make the simple guess that it will either be Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, or the Cardinal of Nigeria, but I don’t quite recall his name. One of the reasons I think ‘from the glory of the olive,’ is so very important for these times is that sadly, and in ways that I pray that are rending my very heart, the ‘nation-state’ of Israel may have a tumultuous future due to the plottings of a number of different groups who wish to demolish the Al Aqsa mosque and build a 3rd Temple. I think it will be vital to have a Holy Father that is quite learned in regard to the historical significance and possibility that conflict may break out in that region and all of us as Catholic Christians can and will be called in various ways to help those who are in need during times of conflict if it is inevitable. I can recall praying that God would send angels to defend Prime Minister Yassir Arafat when the IDF surrounded his headquarters. Thank you Solidarity International. The Palestinian as well as all people that so many Americans just like to lump into one group and call ‘arabs,’ which I understand is offensive to some of them who wish to be known by the identity of their own sovereign nation which in my Catholic+Christian point-of-view is an admirable gift of God as the various nations are numerous for very important reasons just as all of the flowers and types of plants of the world have different territories. Viva Knights of the Immaculata! Does anyone know if Shevawn Pearson or Father Patrick Greenough from Marytown in Libertyville post here? Thanks, Eric
