Every morning we awake to face another day; never knowing what the day will bring. It’s so wonderful to be alive; such a grace, to breathe the breath of life. I often ponder many thoughts about the countless millions of unborn souls who will never be able to breathe the breath of life as we do. Why? I don’t know, and never will be able to comprehend how this has become so common place in our society today. I believe that most people are good, loving, and caring people, even those who for one reason or another made a choice to take another’s breath away. I never have, and never will, point a finger at, or condemn another person for having or taking part in the abortion act; I certainly am not without sin. Can we honestly look ourselves in the mirror and proclaim the right to end another person’s life; especially in the sacred place of a mother’s womb, I don’t think so. Because I feel this way about this, the most important subject facing humanity today; do I have the right to express my opinion, or to ask my elected officials to respect life as I do? From the very depths of my soul, I believe I do. Not only to ask them but to demand from them that they respect every human life from the moment of conception to natural death. We as people of faith who proclaim to be believers in an Almighty God have an obligation to voice our opinions and cast our votes for people who will protect life with every legal means at their disposal once they are elected to office. To say that we must be silent or that we do not have the right to speak up for these innocent babies is ludicrous. If we refuse to speak up for them, then who will. I pray that we will take very seriously our obligation in support of life. I pray also that our loving and patient God will inspire us, that we will be strong and never fear the forces of evil that are behind this genocide.

The babies are human persons, and being human persons, have human life, and hence, the right to life - the human right to life.

There are some who listen not to reason, though, and for them, we must ask God, who is the Truth itself, to lead them to the truth; He can melt even the hardest of heart.

As we sink into a populace that thinks rights are taken or given by the state instead of granted by our Creator, life and it’s value, as we knew will continue to decline. To change leadership & direction takes changing the hearts of the governed.

In regard to people being good, loving & caring, we may be as compared to others, in our own minds but not to the standard as lived & taught by Jesus. Why else would we have so many who are good, loving & caring to animals over humans, or others preferring plants over humans & animals?

The great thing is, God is in control & works all for good.

A couple of Mark Twain quotes on that topic…

DOGS
Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.
  • Mark Twain, a Biography
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.

BTW, I’m a cat-daddy:D

There are many good, loving, and caring people who are also sinners, I am one; many also have had an abortion or been involved in a abortion; this as you know is a grave sin. But our Catholic faith teaches us that God is full of mercy and He will forgive the gravest sin of a truly repentant sinner.

My intent was not to minimize the good that our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit bring out in us. I too have gravely sinned & our Lord woke this prodigal son.

You are focused on the word many while the post I responded to was the word most. All are good as intended & created. Most, in these times & with free will, are falling into the ways of the world & flesh. The recent election reflects this. The Hebrews of the Old Testament are recorded as repeating this tendency consistently.

I plead guilty to my past & hold nothing against others as in the “casting the 1st stone” Gospel.

God has blessed you in being where you are & I thank & pray that He blesses you more.
