Our Priests twisting in the wind !

Until the Scandal hit,priests thought that they and the bishops were, the clergy.Together,united, hand in hand. As soon as the scandal hit ,that hand was cut off ! Cops,lawyers, judges,docters, Priests and bishops have one thing all in common. They take care of their own ! They protect each other against everbody !
You would have thought that Catholic priests and bishops were diferent since they serve God.Most regretfuly we have been shown that, that is not the case. The bishops circled their wagons and dumped the priests. The bishops took care of bishops ! So we have zero tolerance,for priests,that is. It has just been reconfirmed at the bishops meeting.Of course it doesn’t include bishops.
In New Jersey many good priests have been ruined on the flimsiest of eviidence sometimes just an accusation.All the while bishops that have been accused even by the USCCB’s own panel are still in office.
The USCCB absolutly refuses to do anything to bishops. It is left to the civil authorities.Who have an uphill fight given the deep pockets of bishops in the USA. After all they have all that collection money to hire high priced lawyers.

You are venting you anger it seems? Who said anybody was perfect? The last line seems a bit harsh.

Are you Catholic? If so, do you pray for the leaders God has placed over you? We may not agree or like what our bishops do but they have been given responsibility for our souls. Pray for them.

And pray for the pedophile priests that God will have mercy on them and bring them to repentace before they die.

“Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy.”

While you’re at it, please say a prayer for the victims also. It seems to me they need our prayers the most. They did nothing wrong and some are dead because of the abuse. Some are suffering more than word can describe, and some have had their souls murdered.

Well tough cookies, the poster is right!! many of these bishops, again, many are beuracrats. They are puncing on the regular priests, but have not really held EACH OTHER accountable!! Including the USA Cardinals.
