Can we talk about Muhammed’s death? On his death bed, suffering the effects of poisoning, Muhammed’s last words were curses on non-Muslims:

Bukhari:V5B59N727 “When Allah’s Apostle became seriously sick, he started covering his face with a woolen sheet. When he felt short of breath, he removed it, and said, ‘that is so! Allah’s curse be on Jews and Christians.’”
Woolen sheet?

Maybe it was itchy and that got him cranky and he was talking in his sleep, or maybe it was something less benevolent…??

This Qur’an subject is just fine with me.

You ask if anyone has questions about it?

Okay, here is one.

How did PBUH know if the writers were writing what he (Gabriel, whatever) actually ordered them to write? THey must have been sweating bullets every time they picked up a writing instrument to jot it on those leaves and stuff.
I mean the pressure to be under must have been tremendous. He ordered them to write that book.

Wow. I get chills thinking about him standing over the poor writers watching them…

Hi Chris. I’m from the Tijane Sisila.
Grace and Peace Sufi,

I’m not familiar with that, is this an order, school or what? I’m familiar with the Naqshbandi but not this. What is their chain of lineage?

Pax

nice prayer.

There will be neither Catholic, Jew, Muslim or whatever in heaven. There is simply no need for labels in heaven.

It should be the resurrection of the body that should be the ultimate goal of our lives here on earth. Heaven is only a temporary place until we are all united again in our resurrected bodies and live on a new earth.
Can you make sure my resurrected body is jewish?

Well then they they are wrong to call God Allah, and do you speak arabic ?
Code:
My son in law is Lebanese, Arabic is his native language. He is also fluent in English and French, can converse in Italian, Spanish and one of the Anamistic languages of Cote d’Ivoir. He is a Maronite Christian. He says Allah is Arabic for God and the Maronites as well as other Christians use Allah in ther services when they aree in Arabic. We can find lots of other things to disagree with Muslims about, they worship the God of Abraham, they just have a perverted view of Him.

The Basmala

The Basmala compromises the words “In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful”. According to the Hanafi School of thought, this formula is to be recited silently in prayers, because it does not form part of the Fatiha or other Surahs, with the exception of a verse occuring in Surah al-Naml. According to the Shafi’i school of thought, however, the Basmala is part of the Surahs, and hence should be recited aloud.

According to a hadith, everything which does not begin with a Basmala falls short of the blessings of Allah. All Muslims believe in beggining everything with it, so that the Lord’s blessings may be bestowed on them. According to Surah al-Nahl, verse 98, it is also neccessary to recite the Isti’adha, a formula by which one seeks Allah’s protection, before starting to recite the Basmala and the Holy QUR’an.
The Arabic words Rahman and Rahim can be roughly translated as Compassionate and Merciful. Al Rahman is one of the Names of God, Whose bounties are open to anyone, even without asking, whether they be believer or disbeliever, righteous or sinner. Al-Rahim is also one of the Names of God. In the hereafter His bounties are open to only the believers.

The Arabic word Malik can be translated either as owner or master, or both; therefore Allah is the Owner and Master of the Day of Judgement.

The Arabic word al-'Alamin is a plural of 'Alam.

There are many worlds in the Universe. There is the world of Nasut, the human world knowledge by the senses. There is the Malahut, which is the invisible world of the angels and of other spiritual entities, such as jinn. Finally, Lahut is the world of the Divine Reality. Every planet in the Universe too, maybe a world. There are also astronomical and physical worlds, spiritual worlds, metaphysical worlds, and others. Most are known only to God.

Grace and Peace,

A real sufi isn’t like a fundamentalist Muslim. They have different schools with very different teachings. I’m interested in figuring out his exact line so that I will be effective in dialoguing with him. I’m not sure why this is so frustrating to you. Any reason?

Is it okay if I learn a bit about someone before I launch into criticism and ‘canned’ apologetics? Such happens all too often on this forum. Far too many assumptions are made and not enough listening.

Regardless Pax

Sufism is different than mainstream Islam; it is more spiritual.

Please be kind to Sufi, he’s a nice person. He has the right to express himself and everyone has the right to read or not to read what he’s posting.

inJesus,

Did you see the way Sufi spoke to others here?

His boss thread?

His statements? on other threads?

He is not like the Sufi’s I have on CD ROM at home trying to know what they are all about.

He is aggressive. Ask Mrs.

Sufis I have seen (online sadly) are not like this Sufi.

They are at peace and not aggresive.

I thought Sufi would be a good way for me to know Islam.

I am still hopeful. Sufi appeal to Pentecostals mostly.

Simmilar stuff. Catholics have a movement.

Same kind of spirituality.

Why is your god praying to himself?

But if you refer to The Legacy of Jihad: Islamic Holy War and the Fate of Non-Muslims by Andrew G Bostom you’ll find it still supports ‘holy war’

Isn’t that true then of people replying? Sufi doesn’t have to read what they say!

yes you are correct…reading his posts, he seems different than other Sufist…less spiritual and more on the “Pauline” conspiracy. He’s someone of those who read the likes of Admad Deedat and thinks that he already knows Christianity.

Do you call also your god ‘the Deceiver’?
You believe that he caused people only to believe Jesus had been killed, when he hadn’t been.

oh no…don’t bother ask about the crucifixion…you will read wonders.
