Just to comment on the verses from the Quran in the first post, what do these phrases have to offer a Christian that the beauty of scriptures doesn’t already offer us?

I see nothing in these verses that even comes close to “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14-18) or “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son” (John 3:16).
 
ok quick question…this is a CATHOLIC forum right? whats with the Islamic bible verses and prayers!!! a discussion I can see but posting your prayers on here? yea im not digging that at all…:mad:
 
ok I take it back. now that i re read the OP. I would be interested in hearing about the Quran but I would like you to give us HONEST and NON BIASED answers to our questions. That way we all get some real knowledge. zero problem with learning about someone elses culture and religion, just dont think youre converting me my friend;) 👍
 
Actually I think Muslims commit shirk in how they regard Muhammed and the quran. Frankly, if Islam is right then hell is preferable to the God I see reflected in the quran.

When can I recite the Bible outloud and in public in Saudi Arabia?

I know one thing if I get to go to heaven I will just want my fammily and close friends there. would you wanna be in heaven if your fammily was in purgatory or hell? I know if my very hard working non christian father ended up in purgatory I would want to take his place.

Not only that. This verse with an appropriate question:

“When Allah’s Apostle became seriously sick, he started covering his face with a woolen sheet. When he felt short of breath, he removed it, and said, ‘that is so! Allah’s curse be on Jews and Christians.’”

from eden never got an answer too.

It must be hard to defend these things. Is there such a thing as Islamic Apologetics? All I know is that the news media always manages to find ‘Islamic scholars’.

You have to have knowledge before speaking Eden. Muhammad did not die due to poison. When he was poisioned it was not a poison that was poisionous enough to kill him.This poison was not what caused his death.

This is the Qur’an section, not hadith section. When I get to that hadith I’ll explain or you can open up a separate thread to talk about that.

It is harder to read the faint colors than simple black on white.

Actually, it is harder to read a lot of what is posted here that is non-Catholic and often non-sense.

If you look at my links, it speaks to that. He was poisoned enough that he had damage to his body. Most likely it was his liver that was fatally damaged. The poisoning is what proved to be his end, although he lingered with the irreversible damage for several more years. The general line in Islam is that he was “ill” over the last years, but the poisoning behind that illness is usually covered up.

You don’t listen too well uh? This is the Qur’an section. Go to the hadith section and wait for that hadith for me to explain.

I want to know why you are asking a rape question and I didn’t post a rape verse yet in this thread?

Maybe for some. I have my own personal problems with some Jews. I can not speak for every one or on every Jew. This is hadith though Kev. Go to the hadith section and discuss this. I want you guys to see the difference from Allah’s Word - The Qur’an and Muhammad’s way - The Sunnah complied in the ahadith.

How are you Mr. Rude Mouth?

I like the gray and I would change it but I’m looking out for you, you said it’s non-sense. Therefore you do not need to clearly see it, only a fool would think that something non-sense is worth reading.

I’m sticking with the gray.
 
Of course part of the problem is what translation one uses for the Qur’an. For Instance:

**After his death, Osama bin Laden tried to enter heaven, but he was greeted at the gate by George Washington, who pummeled him across the face and yelled at him, “How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!” **
**Patrick Henry approached and punched Osama in the nose and shouted, “You wanted to end our liberties but you failed.” **
**James Madison entered, kicked Osama in the groin and said, “This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!” **
**Thomas Jefferson came in and proceeded to beat Osama many times with a long cane and said, “It was evil men like you that provided me the inspiration to pen the Declaration of Independence!”. **
**These beatings and thrashings continued as John Rudolph, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans came in and unleashed their anger on the Muslim terrorist leader. **
**As Osama lay bleeding and writhing in unbearable pain an Angel appeared. Bin Laden wept in pain and said to the Angel, “This is not what you promised me.” **
**The Angel replied, “I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you in heaven. What did you think I said?” **
