Welcome to the western world.

Religious tolerance is for everyone who is not Christian.
There can be “gay pride” days, discounts at hotels for gays, but a “straight pride” or discount for straights is unthinkable.
And there can be ethnic clubs for any racial group except whites/Caucasians.

I’ve gotten plenty of discounts at hotels as a straight guy (or at least one who dresses poorly enough that no one thinks I’m gay). Having a “straight pride” event is sort of redundant, inasmuch as straights don’t really have to celebrate the mere act of survival (not a lot of straight guys get beaten to death for kissing their girlfriend in public, (provided it’s THEIR girlfriend of course).

And there are lots of ethnic clubs for white guys. We have an excellent Irish American heritage center here in Chicago. Others for Poles, Germans etc. There are lots of ethnicities which happen to be white. Whiteness itself is not an ethnicity. It is a phenotype which evolved for nothing more profound than Vitamin D production in northern lattitudes. There are lots of cultures which happen to have arisen from white folks, and it is perfectly socially acceptable, even today, to celebrate that.

Guys who like to celebrate whiteness for it’s own sake and identify primarily as members of the “white race” on the other hand, have very different social clubs. They tend to shave their heads, wear lots of camo and kick the snot out of minorities with steel-toed Doc Martens. There IS a degree of social opprobrium attached to that, and I can’t say that I shed any tears over that…

As to the idea that the world loves everyone but Christians, I think Muslims might disagree with you on that. For all the ribbing in media you guys get these days, at least you don’t have permanent FBI informants assigned to attend your services and prosecutors tracking every dime of your charitable donations…

In some parts of Aussie I understand that the public system of schools has pastoral care workers in situ…of course you don’t have to be Christian but could conceivably include Wikkan, demon worshippers and others of that ilk…

Now you have a sense of how I feel every time I’m on this forum. Having one’s religion denigrated by people who don’t understand it DOES suck! This revelation can motivate us to value tolerance on ALL sides, or it can lead us to step up the intensity of our respective intolerance.

If you were another religion you could call for rioting in the streets, terrorism and death to the infidel…but no, it is ok for every other religion to behave as their right; but as a Christian one should turn the other cheek . The Christian’s reward is eternal rather than of this world:thumbsup:

I’m indifferent about the question being asked in this forum about this subject, but am offended how the Bible and true practicing Christians are treated. My name is Peter for a reason, so there would be argument if this happened in a class I was sitting in on. It’s really said when so-called Christians think the Bible is a book of fiction. I have a friend who was raised Catholic who says there is nothing inspired written about the Bible and that the men who wrote it, just wrote a bunch of stories. Sad, so sad. However, I am not tolerant. If you are wrong I will tell you so and work you down until you see the light, and God and everyone around me will know what was going down, Amen.
