Hello all ,
I am asking for prayer from everyone here . I have been released from prison doing an eight year sentence in which God blessed me with a year off doing a drug program . I am currently at a halfway house . I have been able to find a decent paying job thanks be to God.I am trying to stay pure before God as I have struggles with same sex attractions . I have intentions to follow Jesus and His Church . I ask prayer from everyone to help keep me strong and encouraged about my job as it is very hard work .If anyone has advice let me know !God Bless everyone

Brandon, I do a jail ministry and I have seen how hard it is for people when they are released from jail or prison. I will keep you in my prayers that you stay on God’s path and ask Him to guide you. Times will be tough, but ALWAYS remember that not a moment goes by where He will not be with you to help you. He loves you more than you can even realize.

God of life, You made Brandon in Your perfect image,

Open Brandon’s heart to Your healing power.
Come, Lord Jesus, calm his soul just as you whispered
“Peace” to the stormy sea. St. Jude, most holy Apostle,
I beg you to intercede for Brandon that he may find strength
to overcome his illness. Bless all those who struggle with addiction.
Touch them, heal them, and reassure them of the Father’s constant love.
Remain at Brandon’s side, St. Jude, to chase away
all evil temptations, fears, and doubts. May the quiet assurance
of your loving presence illuminate the darkness in Brandon’s heart

Hi Brandon,
Welcome to CAF! Combining a good recovery program with a good spiritual program is a great way to go. I have a family member I picked up this afternoon from OZ who just finished his DUI weekend duty. He is doing the same thing you are doing, but he is out of the halfway house.

It is important that you remember H.A.L.T. hungry, angry, lonely, and tired. These are the fastest ways to a relapse. You many already know this. Working your programs and your job are sure to keep you busy, and that is a very good thing. Save time for rest and Mass, and hopefully you have a sponsor and lots of phone numbers.

Stay focused and positive. I will keep you in my prayer intentions. PM me if you ever need to talk. I have two jobs, but I am on CAF quite a bit. My hobby!
