Over active Conscience Mortal or Venial HELP

I see these questions pop up from time to time and I snicker a little bit but now I have a similar question.

I struggle with 2 Commandments in particular and today online a slang word was came up on some posts I was reading on the news and I wanted to find out what it meant. I had a good idea what it was and I know that the term could lead me down a slippery slope but I went to find out.

I clicked on the link and what came up told me right away the answer and that this wasn’t good. I continued to follow until near the end then I closed out the window and scolded myself for putting my soul in jeopardy.

The positive side is I closed it out and got up and went and did something else.

The negative side is I should of never been there in the first place and I let the temptation take over briefly.

You are human and we are all sinners. We are all sinners who long to be FREE. Free from sin. Go to confession, remind yourself you are a sinner, and do penance only if you are truly serious about NOT doing it again; whether it be ‘accidentally’ online, in a library, at a convenience store, etc. You must first want to be FREED from this particular sin.
