Overcoming internet dating impurity

i need serious help with overcoming the addiction to internet dating sites and impurity on them… i cannot for the life of me shake this disease as i call it… i know its sinful and i still keep it a habiutal one.

please brothers and sisters pray for me if you could
 
Lord, instill in pwlj_christ87 many graces for faith, hope, love, chastity, courage, and fortitude. Lead this soul with protecting angels away from all temptation and sin. Enlighten pwlj_christ87 with your grace and wisdom, that the body is a temple and that all sin is a rejection of your divine love. Shine your divine light through pwlj_christ87 always, that this soul be a heroic example of the faith. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Try to find some other way of spending time you would be using doing this, even just watching a dvd, or reading a good book. I’ve found myself still wanting to watch a web-series that I used to that isn’t morally correct, and sometimes it’s just a matter of getting up and starting to do something else.

Jesus, Lover of chastity,
Mary, Mother most pure,
and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin,

Yes, as someone above said, just START doing something else on a daily basis. Read, watch a movie, listen to music, work, go out for a walk etc. Internet in general can be very addictive. On the other hand, it depends what you’re looking for on dating sites. Set your goals clearly. Nothing wrong to want and be looking for a spouse, but apparently that’s not what you’re looking for. Also keep in mind that any such site (also the so-called socializing sites) are a way of peeping into someone else’s life, there is something voyeuristic about them. No matter who you encounter online, just be fair to those people, treat them the way you would like to be treated. Nevertheless, I will pray that you overcome your addiction.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Get a trusted friend to install some blocking software to block those sites… this way you do not have the password to override.
Addictions are very difficult to overcome by yourself, so having that trusted friend is a blessing. This is why 12 step programs have a buddy system… so that you have someone to help when your resolve/will fails you.
