Padre Pio was an Italian priest who spent most of his time giving confessions. His supernatural gifts became evident in the confessional. He had the ability to look within the souls of his penitents. He could know about the lives of people he had never met, and if someone forgot some of his sins, Padre Pio could tell him what they were. People came from all over Europe and the world to go to confession with him. He died in 1968, and was officially canonized as a Catholic saint in 2002.
