Before the upheaval of Vatican II, it was celebrated on April 1. It was the Bugnini-reformers who moved the feast when they jumbled the calendar all around.

I’m just kidding, of course. The man was only canonized nine years ago, in 2002. How “traditional” a feast day can he possibly have?
