Padre Pio on The Universe

You seem to want to bicker back and forth with me and I really make it a point to stay away from as much negativity in this world as possible. So, on that note, I will not be coming back to this thread. Off for my daily runā€¦have a great day everyone!šŸ˜ƒ
 
I think the ability to sin has directly to do with the fact that we are created in Gods image. Therefore i probably, and unfortunately because i like Pio, dont agree that there are sinless beings aware of Godā€™s glory as we are. But i hope this is not what he meant. Also, we are not ā€œnothingā€ because we have been raised to life in Him!

We have immeasurable worth because God loves us immeasurably. There may be creatures out there and even more intellegent than us, but God became Man, not any other creature.

thereā€™s absolutely no reason to believe space aliens from Beyond are going to look remotely human, or any earthlike creature, since they do not share our genetic past.

if there are intelligent races of bug eyed monsters or little green men, their salvation history, if any, is not our concern and speculation on it/Them falls more in the realm of sci fi/fantasy rather than theology or science.

I am confident the governments of this planet will be able to meet the spectre of invasion from space head on and eradicate this threat to our species by any means necessary.

perhaps, who can say what the situation is for hypothetical space aliens. xenomorph/Aliens, predators, HG wells-style Martians are as likely as benevolent grey aliens here to serve man. how youā€™d decide such have souls and spirits and bodies in the image of God seems like a task to me, and a task thatā€™s mostly a dry well.

I agree, i dont believe they do! It is even wrong to think so. God became man, no other creature can be raised to this level. Even angels
 
Actually, methinks the Government had already, in 1995, contracted with Walt Disney Studios to prepare the public for ā€˜Disclosureā€™ of the real, and true existence of extra - terrestrials visiting planet Earth.

ā€œdisclosureā€ is a key buzzword for the space alien crowd. steven greer are others like him are big into this excuse for the failure of the UFOologists to come up with real evidence. they keep saying the governmentā€™s just on the verge of coming clean with the straight dope on how the aliens are already here, after our DNA, water, goats, gold, etc. theyā€™ve been saying this for, apparently, decades.

But that being said, we probably wonā€™t find a way to travel to enough stars in order to find intelligent beings. Our galaxy is 100K light years in diameter, and traveling 4 light years at the speed of the voyager probe, 11 miles per second would take about 40k years. God seemed to space the planets very far away from each other. It is also difficult to say that even if you could travel at the speed of light what the probability of you finding a civilization would even be.

There are many terrestrial bodies in our solar system that have no civilizations. We havenā€™t even found a microbe on the moon or mars. But ultimately I see no conflict with the existence of an alien civilization with the bible.

In all those videos about the aliens, they are qualified as ā€œā€¦highly evolved inteligenceā€¦ā€
How do they that aliens have evolved? The way they look is more like involutionā€¦
