Today St. Padre Pio’s relic were at the Cathedral in South Dakota. The Bishop said Mass and was followed by veneration of the relics. The Cathedral was packed, and we stood for over an hour for veneration. As we got to the front, I was overwhelmed by a strong smell of roses. At first I thought it was someone’s perfume but it was very distinct. I had a lot on my heart to share with Jesus. This smell stayed with me even as I was driving home. I have never experienced anything like it. I asked my fiancé if he smelled it and he didn’t. Has anyone experienced this after seeing the relics? I also feeel very much at ease which is not always easy for me.
