Don’t think anyone has said this.I love how convenient it is that every pagan god is a demon for the catholic church.

Might want to grind that axe elsewhere.
“For all the gods of the nations are demons: but the LORD made the heavens.” -Psalm 96:5

In fairness to you both, I should’ve mentioned that I use the Septuagint instead of the Masoretic. The Greek says “δαιμόνια”; the Hebrew says “elilim” (idols) - which might not be any better of course. Is your Google broken?

A little research would go a long way, instead of flying off the handle at all Christians immediately upon seeing something you don’t agree with.

I understand that but look below where I quoted; @Aulef and @mythbuster1 both react more or less like:In fairness to you both,
You might get that from some folks, but that’s not what you stated in your OP:I’m not grinding an axe, this is the attitude we get.

I think the best interpretation was the one Neithan gave: sometimes different groups conceived of gods (gotta explain lightning somehow), and then not-so-benevolent spirits co-opted these images for their advantage. That doesn’t mean we condemn everyone who believed in them (cf. the “gentiles with the law written on their hearts”). Also, if it’s worth anything, one of my close friends growing up was a Norse neopagan (Mjollnir pendant / Viking-style sacrifices / etc.)I understand that but look below where I quoted; @Aulef and @mythbuster1 both react more or less like:
“Well yeah.”
