Asia Bibi’s case is but the latest in a long series of tragedies due to the infamous law, which sows fear in people. The Church of Pakistan is a Church that suffers, but it has a prophetic role to play: “bring hope to an entire people”.

These are but a few of todays’ persecuted Catholics. They are sharing in the persecution and matyrdom that the Early Church suffered for hundred of years by the Roman Empire.

We should all ask for their prayers, that we may have their daily strength of faith under horrible and constant persecution. And, we must pray for them and for their protection.

These types of situations clearly detail the clash of cultures in the theocratic middle eastern countries compared to the western world.
