The more that Moslems use the Koran to deny the justice of equality to People of the Book, the more that even everyday Moslems will not get social justice either. with dhimmitude, the principle is set that there are some more priveledged than others. The rich and the powerful get their religious justification from this. The vast majority of their Moslem subjects also remain oppressed as a result.
As long as they are relatively better off than the Christians, then their oppression becomes bearable. It is the only thing that they can feel proud about.
