Pakistani Church leader express solidarity to Christian village attacked

Lahore (AsiaNews) - A number of Church leaders paid a solidarity visit to the Christian community of Sangla Hill on November 14, after a group of 2,000 Muslim destroyed churches and Christian properties, following allegations of blasphemy at a young Christian.

Among the visitors there were Msgr Lawrence John Saldanha, Archbishop of Lahore Catholic diocese; Bishop Alexander John Malik, Moderator Church of Pakistan; Mr. Victor Azraiah, National Council of Churches in Pakistan; representatives of Salvation Army, Bishop Samuel Azariah; Fr. Emmanuel Yousaf Mani, National director National Commission of Justice and Peace (NCJP); Fr. Andrew Ansari, Vicar General of Lahore Catholic dioceses; legislator Mr. Akram Masih Gill; Mr. Irfan Barkat and Ms. Ayra Indrias, the staff members of NCJP.

I’m sorry to hear such news. :mad: bad people bad behaviour with such much less intolerant
 
Why isn’t their “leader” already in jail? He incited the thing and needs to be held accountable, not only those who actually did it.
 
People in the west have to know that this often is what happens to non-Muslims in Muslim dominated lands.

Though admitedly the Christian Serbs did much the same thing to the Muslim ethnic Albanians of Kosovo, but everyone should know that America and the west did ultimately come in on the side of the ethnic Albanians in that affair just as they did in Bosnia.

But sadly I’m sure it also did much to reopen the centuries old wounds between the Orthodox Christian east and Roman Catholic/Protestant west.😦
 
So disgusting.
But this is our fault too. We tend to defend THEM than US. Everyone is trying to be politically correct. 😦
