It is indeed a devastating war therefore casualties are imminent, it may not be called war without it. Obviously, Hamas cowardly hid from civilian covers thus making it look like Israelis killed those who are around. The same tactic used by the Hezbollahs. To kill innocents are necessary when Muslim lives are in danger. A famous Quranic verse justifies them for that. It is called “Taqqiya”
I for one is not for war and is scared for war. Most of us do not want war. I am sure Israel is tired of war. Palestinians are tired of war. Most of all our Lord Jesus Christ is waging “love” for one another. “Love your enemies”, he said but I think Muslims does not even believe in this nor the Jews. They will never give the other cheek but will wage an “eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth.”
Both sides have reasons for pointing fingers to who started the war. Based on our religion, we tend to side with our brothers and sisters. It is a natural phenomena of human emotions. But many Christians does not take sides, some are even supporting the Palestinians. Why? because of the damage and casualties inflicted on them. The innocents that are killed. The poor people who may not even got involved in the conflict.
What can Israelis do then to avoid these damages? Invent a “magnetic shield” around them so rockets will not penetrate their communities? Go to the U.N. and tell them to ask Hamas not to fire anymore? Or perhaps, leave the region entirely to please the Arabs? I guess the latter is just impossible to do.
Sister Amy is right to say the conflict is political not religious. This is the reason why Israelis are waging war! It is ironic, isn’t it? This will give the Israelis justification to defend themselves. Forget about religion, or the merciful God. Maybe Sister Amy will no longer expect the Israelis to show mercy because everything is political. Anyhow, the victorious side will celebrate, while the losing side will mourn. Does not matter, it is political anyway.

And this sort of rhetoric is why I do not put you in the category of ‘peaceful’ muslim, but ‘silent, deceptive one’.
And the silent part of your description is only silence when your violent ones continue to attack women and children, and muslims like you who tell us that ‘islam doesn’t say to do that’ continually.
It has been the muslims who broke the cease fire - not the Isrealis. And the only ethnic cleansing that is done have been by muslims - in Africa, in the Balkans, and the continued rhetoric of Hamas and the Iranians - and the muslim brotherhood/wahabbis/etc. It hasn’t once been said or done by Israelis or anyone else to muslims. Muslims have killed more muslims than anyone else.

This war is indeed religious - and political. If/when (geez, I hope that doesn’t happen) Israel is wiped out - the muslims have to hate someone else and they are already working on hating America, the West, the Hindus, etc. It is all in their koran - to keep on fighting in our lands (dar al harb) until they win the world to islam.
What do they do - they dehumanize us. They call us pigs, apes, less than feces and urine. This is what they are doing now - and quite often they are doing it in mosques in our own countries. This is to keep up the hatred - let it start festering and feed it when they come to the mosques on a weekly basis, or more often. As we see in the schools - they are told to throw away texts that have such things and they do not - instead they xerox those texts and tell our governments they did toss them and use the xeroxed copies anyway.
And the ‘peaceful’ ones allow their children to be succombed to these types of teachings. We think that the palestinians are all apart from all of the goings on with Hamas and many are not! They in fact celebrate when their children become shahid - hoping that they are named as one of the 70 that can be named to allah to be saved - to bypass predestination, or worries about being predestined to hell, I suppose.
