even if it’s true , the number is too little ? 280 children are murdered in 3 weeks & we put blame on the victims . Today I saw few photographs of Jewish kids murdered by Nazi soldiers & Palestine kids 'accidently ’ killed by Isaraieli soldiers. Could not find any differences between those kids .

How it’s possible that Jews forgot about the history ? When they see the dead bodies of 280 kids , ( do they or Israeli TV channels don’t show this ? ) the tragic death reminds of them of anything ?

Well, then - tell your fellow muslims to STOP LOBBING BOMBS INTO ISRAEL, STOP USING THEM AS JIHADISTS AND TO STOP HIDING BEHIND THEM.

What do you think we should do? Grieve? How about you? What have you done lately? Did you feed the poor and hungry? Did you cloth those who had no clothes? Perhaps, you are sitting there and contemplating what to do but did not do anything? Have you contributed something or anything to the needy other than Muslims? Hypocrite!

As for me I did nothing. I do not know why. Am I a bad Christian or perhaps needed to be a Muslim to do something? However, I do pray and think of all the miseries of the world. I too felt sometimes miserable with my own problems in life. I do not know about Muhammed. In those those days, perhaps he never had problems because it seemed that he had all the fools around to serve him. Women or sex was not a problem, he had how many wives? He had people to fight for him too. Offensively or defensively? But all we know is that the Quran said that in times of war, slaughtering were justified!. Isn’t this the Islamic apologetics are talking about in defending those passages? The advantage was, there are no media to cover those massacres.

280 children and counting. It was an atrocious killing of innocent children. Were they killed intentionally? Maybe because the IDF knew that the area is heavily populated. They should have let Hamas kept shooting at them from that vantage point. IDF should not respond to those volleys of shots. They should not have attacked in the first place and just let rockets fly over their heads. That is, if they are lucky. IDF should have known better that Gaza is heavily populated and the notion of attacking was not supposed to be considered. Israel! Stop bombing! Just get out of the land and give it to the Palestinian Muslims. Surrender Jerusalem! It has at no value at all to you, because Muslims claimed that it has more value to them! Throw away your Torah! Burn them because the Quran is the most complete Book ever written. You will find the WHOLE STORY of Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ishmael, Esau, David, Solomon, and all the prophets of old in the Quran. We don’t need your Book, you unbelievers!

It was a war and accountability should be on both sides

I saw on BBC where a Gaza Palestinian whose home was completely destroyed by Israeli Missile asking Hamas leader (who is in Syria at the moment) to see for himself that the rockets fired from his compound was not his but theirs (Hamas). He was saying he never had any rockets but if Hamas should used his compound to do so they (Hamas) should be accountable for his loss.

I think he got it right there. Instead of blaming the Israelis he quite rightly points a finger to Hamas who are actually the cause of his loss of property. In many cases they (Hamas) are the causes of loss of lives even though they did not fire the shots that killed them.

I like the way you refer to Muslim apologists who defend Mohammad’s conduct during war where people were killed. Being a prophet he should be held even more accountable for those women and children that his marauding armies killed. I mean people did not use missiles then and so when women and children were killed it was done intentionally where the murdering soldiers could see the white of the eyes of their victims.

You are right, I for one will never support anyone for doing what is contrary to God’s will. Yes I do not support the Hamas, and the IDF who deliberately fired on innocents. But if you look closely, Hamas is the one lobbing those rockets indiscriminately.

No, the women and children (those that did not have hair) were taken as slaves and handed around as booty to his followers. I call that torture AND rape. But in islam captured children and women are not considered to be raped - it is just not defined that way for them - so we are talking about something they just do not acknowledge. these captured ones have no rights, especially the right of refusal.

Afterwards it was common for him to attack caravans that were lightly armed and had women and children aboard - so he could take them as slaves. He would attack cities that were also known to be lightly armed, and known for things other than having a military - mostly trade cities.

To just put it lightly that ‘no children were killed’, ‘only a few got death sentences’ is not accurate either. All the men were beheaded, including if the boys ‘had hair’.

The truth is that mohammed was in over 30 of the over 80 battles that were fought in his time and he rarely, if ever, chose peace. If he didn’t kill everyone outright he would subjugate them. His later battles were about subjugation (dhimmitude) of peoples.

Perhaps the best example to refute the myth that Muhammad chose peace over war is the series of events leading up to the taking of Mecca by his army in 630. As we have shown, the Muslims were the first to break the treaty between themselves and the Meccans by not returning fleeing Muslims to Mecca (as stipulated in the agreement) as well as by raiding Meccan caravans and murdering the drivers (both before and after the treaty). But when a tribe allied with the Meccans killed members of a tribe allied with the Muslims in revenge for an earlier murder, it was feared the Muhammad would not be so accommodating.

The leader at Mecca was a man named Abu Sufyan. Anticipating that the Muslims might look for an excuse to attack his people, Abu Sufyan traveled to Medina to engage Muhammad in dialogue to assure peace between the two parties. Ibn Ishaq 807 details the poor man’s efforts to see the Muslim leader in a long passage that clearly indicates his mounting desperation for peace.

It is during this visit that Abu Sufyan enters the homes of a number of prominent Muslims, including Muhammad’s son-in-law and daughter. Clearly he is not interested in harming them. In the end, Abu Sufyan is rebuffed by Muhammad and does not gain the opportunity to talk peace. The prophet of Islam is more interested in a surprise attack on Mecca:

[Muhammad] said, “Oh Allah, take eyes and ears from the Quraysh [Mecca] so that we may take them by surprise in their land,” and the men got themselves ready. (Ibn Ishaq 808)

He was successful, in that the other Meccans had no idea that they were supposed to be at war with the Muslims:

When the apostle had reached Marr al-Azhran, [the] Quraysh were completely ignorant of the fact and did not even know what he was doing. (Ibn Ishaq 811).

When Abu Sufyan learned that Muhammad was marching on the city, he made one last effort to talk peace with him, this time attempting to use the Muslim leader’s wife as an intercessory. The woman attempted to reason with Muhammad, referring to Abu Sufyan and his companion as Muhammad’s own “cousin and brother-in-law” (which he was). Muhammad turned them away with this reply:

“I have no use for them. As for my cousin, he as wounded my pride; and as for my aunt’s son and my brother-in-law, he spoke insulting of me in Mecca.” (Ibn Ishaq 811)

Thus, according to his own biographer, the prophet of Islam chose to go to war against an unwilling party merely out of personal pride and personal offense. After conquering Mecca he even ordered the executions of those who had insulted him, apparently oblivious to the hypocrisy, since it was a third-party revenge killing that he had use as justification for his own attack on the city.

Oh, they will never acknowledge these things. True number of casualties

A continuing IDF investigation into the number of civilian Palestinian casualties during the Israeli offensive in Gaza indicated that only 250 of the fatalities were civilians.

The military estimates that between 1,100 and 1,200 people were killed during the offensive. Some 700 of are believed to be militants and most are believed to be Hamas operatives.

The IDF is still trying to ascertain the identity of the remaining fatalities, but security sources said many would probably turn out to be militants as well. “Hamas is familiar with the numbers and is doing everything it can to concealed them,” said an IDF source…

Many of the fatalities were considered to be civilians at first, because there were no weapons found with them, said a military source, “But that method of operation is consistent with the way Hamas was hiding in the midst of civilians, moving between their strongholds with no weapons. In many cases someone thought to be a civilian casualty turned out to be a Hamas operative after we ran our checks.”

Gaza truce breached

GAZA (Reuters) - An Israeli soldier was killed by a bomb on the border with the Gaza Strip on Tuesday and troops then killed a Palestinian, in violence that strained a ceasefire and left people in Gaza fearing further Israeli attacks.

Ten days after Israel halted a devastating, three-week air and ground offensive that killed 1,300 people in the enclave, neither the ruling Hamas Islamist movement nor its smaller allies claimed responsibility for the attack on the patrol.

But on the day that U.S. President Barack Obama’s new envoy arrived in the Middle East bearing a message that the “moment is ripe” for peace talks, Israeli leaders facing an election in two weeks promised voters they would hit back hard.

They won backing from Hillary Clinton, Obama’s new secretary of state, who said Israel had a right to defend itself against rockets that Hamas has fired from Gaza over recent years.

“I don’t care who fired,” said Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, who is leading the ruling party in the campaign for the February 10 ballot. “Hamas controls Gaza and is responsible for everything that happens. Whenever they fire at me from Gaza, set off a bomb or launch a missile or smuggle (weapons), Israel will respond.”

Some hours later, a senior militant from the Hamas-allied Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) was wounded, along with a bystander, in an Israeli air strike, militants and medics said. The missile targeted the man as he was riding a motorcycle.

Residents near Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip close to where the soldier was killed, said that toward evening tanks and armored bulldozers were maneuvering around orchards and wells, causing damage in a familiar punitive tactic.

Although not claiming responsibility, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri praised the bomb attack on the troops as “a natural response to the crimes of the occupier.” Two Palestinians were killed last week in incidents blamed on Israeli fire.

PATROL ATTACKED

The early morning skirmishing was the bloodiest since the 22-day Israeli offensive ended in ceasefire declarations.

The Israeli military said a bomb was detonated against its forces on the Israeli side of the border fence near the Kissufim crossing, killing one soldier and wounding another three.

Israeli fire shortly afterwards in the same area killed a Palestinian who medics said was a 27-year-old farmer.

Palestinians living near Kissufim crossing told Reuters they saw at least two gunmen move up toward the border fence in the morning mist. They later heard explosions and gunfire.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said: “Any group that harms us will be dealt a heavy blow.”

Israel said that in response to the attack it shut down the crossing points through which flow the humanitarian aid and other supplies on which the 1.5 million people of Gaza depend. Aid agencies have been urging Israel to ease restrictions on trade to help rebuild thousands of homes destroyed in bombing.

Hopefully the ceasefire won’t dissolve.

Israel has carried out an air attack in the Gaza Strip and launched an incursion with tanks and bulldozers across the border.

Palestinian sources say there has been fighting near Khan Younis in southern Gaza, with people fleeing their homes.

The incursion follows a bomb attack which killed one Israeli soldier and wounded three near the Gaza border.

It is the worst violence since Israel’s offensive against Hamas in Gaza ended with both sides declaring ceasefires.

An Israeli soldier was killed by an explosive device planted on its side of the border near the Kissufim crossing, prompting troops to opened fire into Gaza.

A farmer was killed, Palestinian officials said.

There is now heavy fighting going on in Khan Younis, south of the Kissufim crossing.

Palestinian sources say 20 Israeli tanks and seven army bulldozers have made an incursion.

Two people were also wounded in an Israeli air strike in Khan Younis.

Hospital sources say one was a member of Hamas’ Popular Resistance Committee who was on a motorbike at the time, and the other was a passer-by.

Israel has closed border crossings into Gaza because of the attack on the patrol, Israeli officials said, stopping the flow of aid supplies to Gaza’s 1.5 million residents.

Aid agencies have been struggling to meet the urgent needs of tens of thousands of displaced, homeless and injured people in Gaza.

It is unknown who started the attack which Israel is responding to.
