You’ll find anything that if faults Palestinians (even just the terrorist dunderheads who ruin it for the rest of the Palestinian people) internet Muslims will immediately do that. Then quite often those same Muslims claim the Jews name-drop the Holocaust. :hypno:

If some Muslim apologists had nickel for every time they used a non-sequitor, they’d be buying and selling Bill Gates.
Sorry, I was using what you had said before and if you actually had LOOKED at my post you would have realised that I wasn’t diverting the topic at hand.

The topic was a supposed marriage of children to grown men. You diverted it to Israeli atrocities. That’s about as diverting as you can get.

The young girls are relatives of the grooms. It’s a tradition in many Middle-eastern countries that a young girl in the groom’s family dresses up like this for the wedding party, similar to how Catholics sometimes have flower girls. The brides and their family have their own party.

The Zionist propaganda to portray Palestinians as a nation of monsters seems to have gotten even more exorbitant than usual these last months. This is perverse.

So what kind of propaganda is this then? Demonising Palestinians is the means to what end?
It’s not propaganda, let alone “Zionist propaganda.” It’s called “a bunch of idiots on the internet who can’t do research.” 👍

This is another of many reasons I left Islam - everything is Muslims vs. the World, and if there’s no evidence to support this idea, a conspiracy is quickly made up. The pinnacle of this for me was when I read an interview with a Lebanese-Palestinian woman who claimed there was a conspiracy between the Lebanese, Syrian, and Saudi governments to wipe out the Palestinian people.

…yeah… :hypno:

Come now, it’s more than just some honest mistake. Photos of little girls dressed up at weddings from all over the world have always been on the internet; I don’t remember any other photos being so ‘misinterpreted’ by ‘idiots on the internet’ that they had to write this many articles about how the world must know how sick such-and-such people are. Why did it just have to be a photo from a Palestinian wedding in Gaza organised by Hamas in 2009 that this ‘mistake’ was made? When it just so happens to be beneficial for some people’s political agenda for people to be taken in by such nonsense?

You’re right, this is going to set the Middle East peace talks back fifty years. 🙂

In any case, people were, as I said, responding with their mouths rather than their heads. They were probably merely encouraged by the fact that the main prophet in Islam had sex with a 9-year old and jumped to assumptions.

actually personally i’d say it would be propaganda—they have a picture with little girls and men walking down the isle and the title is “palestinian mass marriage”. If it was the truth then they would’ve explained it. Yes I know that you have to be an idiot to believe something like this (and we had a few idiots that believed this) but that doesn’t change that it is attempting to say something about the palestinians.

Take the issue up with Associated Press - it’s their picture.

I only posted this picture for clarification, but I should have known that anything involving “muslims” and the “Palestinians” is a touchy issue.

And whatever the culture is for muslims in Palestine/Middle East, I can see little boys as being with the men as their “ring” boys, and I can see the little “flower” girls being with the future brides - not the other way around - but it is your culture.

There are plenty of stories, articles, and videos on the internet with 40 something and 50 something aged men marring little girls.

And NO they are not Jewish propaganda against the muslims.

Seek and you shall find them.

For someone who was an Athiest, turned to Christian and became a muslim in the past year, please with the “yeah but those times were different” comment.

A man of God, a messenger of God, a prophet of God would never place his eyes on a little girl like mohamad did with Aishia - and to boot have about another 9 or so wives to satisfy his lustful desires - AND to double boot, take his adopted sons wife for his own.

Take it from a guy who works in the media - that’s not propaganda, that’s laziness. Especially since it’s AP, as jakasaki said - trust me, AP are the LAST people who would be promoting “Zionist propaganda.”

As jakasaki pointed out, this was your prophet. And no, I was not diverting the topic since I was relating it to the reactions to the photograph of older men with younger girls. 😉

How can people defend a man in his 50’s who already has several wives having sex with a 9 year old?
