Please look at this woman as Pro Life, not Republican. So far, as far as I am concerned, she can run on any ticket she wants as long as she is Pro life. Our best bet for 2012?

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, speaking at anti-abortion group’s dinner, criticized President Barack Obama for supporting abortion rights and challenged the idea that unplanned pregnancies are a nuisance that can be solved by abortion.

Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, spoke to an overflow crowd organizers said numbered 3,000 at the Vanderburgh County Right to Life banquet Thursday night.

A solid Right to Life groundswell for her could go a long way toward launching her. Isn’t it about time pro-life groups got solidly on board with someone?

I’m sorry, but I can’t vote for any politician based on a single issue. History has shown us that a politician will pay lip service to a controversial issue (abortion), but never do anything substantive about it.

Neither the Reps nor the Dems are going to take meaningful steps to end abortion on demand. At least the Dems have a better history of addressing other social injustices.

Amen. Amen. Amen. A thousand million Amens. 👍

She has given more than lip service to the Pro Life concept. And please unload the “one issue” ****.

Uh huh, such as increasing our taxes so we can all support people that really , really have an aversion to work. Or perhaps like is being done now, tearing apart the Constitution. Or providing universal health care as long as the provision for abortion on demand is included.

Name a few other “SOCIAL JUSTICE” issues the Dem platform provides. Oh yes, mandatory sex education in public schools from kindergarten up.

As opposed to the GOP mantra of “every man for themselves” based on the false premise that everyone has the same access to opportunities?

You know, some people do have easier access to more opportunities, but everyone does have access none the less.

And as far as history showing us that nothing is being done about abortion on demand, there hasn’t been much history. A president can’t do anything by himself about abortion on demand. It’s going to take things like the appointment of the right judges, who can overturn Roe V Wade and put the states back into control. Thats where it starts. And there just haven’t been that many opportunities for any conservative presidents to appoint conservative judges to the bench.

This last election was crucial as the timing was perfect considering the ages of a couple of the liberal whack jobs currently on the bench. But of course now we’re all screwed because too many Catholics with no back bone coudn’t vote based on one issue. Without life, nothing else matters. I can’t wait to see what kind of judges our new prez comes up with.

And as far as your social justice issues, there is already legislation being introduced that puts serious cuts into the healthcare of our Senior’s. How about this for a quote, “Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them.” That was from Tom Daschle. So as I said, without life, nothing else matters.

What actually happens will be much different from fear tactics being preached by the right wing pundits.

A president can’t do anything by himself about abortion on demand.
How about 6 years of a Republican president with the GOP holding the majority in both houses of Congress and an edge on the Supreme Court?

So what legislation has she put through?

She’s Govenor of Alaska. Check it out. Some good. Some not so good. You don’t want to hear it, but it’s a valid point.
I have heard it ad nauseum. No such thing as ONE ISSUE, but there is a hierarchy of values and morals and it ain’t Maslow’s.

So does this mean you approve of the left wing stealth? Read sneaky.
The left has it’s nut jobs and con artists, but they’re amateurs compared to what the right wing has been doing in the media over the last 15 to 20 years, and their lies have been getting more and more desperate over the last two years to the point where they’ve spinning completely out of control ever since last year’s general election.

It would be a complete waste of time for attempt to introduce any legislation when the court is not ready to overturn anyhting. Not sure where you get the idea there was an edge on the Surpreme Court. Anyway, it’s obvious your stuck in liberal la la land. No sense in wasting anymore time arguing with you. Good day…

Label me a liberal if you wish, but it’s a false charge. Sorry, I upset you by challenging right wing propaganda.

You have really been baptized in the Kool Aid!

Over 90% of the media admitted supporting Obama and the Liberals in Congress and pretended to "report"impartially, while they actually served as propagandists for Obama & his pro-death socialists.

The Conservatives are very clear and up front about their beliefs and do not lie about being “impartial”.

We can disagree, but let’s be honest first!!!

Sancta Maria, Mmater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

I agree, let’s be honest. Start by being honest with yourself and verifying for yourself the allegations you repeat from the right wing propaganda machine.

Please don’t tell me you actually think Fox News, newsmax, Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, Beck, Coulter, Savage, etc., etc., etc., are impartial and provide anything close to the truth.

What’s that famous line? “Truth? You want truth? You can’t handle the truth!” Spoken so eloquently by one of the best Hollywood Lib’s in town!

Anyway, back to the OP. I applaud Sarah Palin for what she is doing. I personally don’t think she is the one to run in 2012, although I could be wrong. I think the Left worked overtime to paint a nasty picture of her. Of course Katy Couric is getting an award for her blistering interview of Palin where she pressed the abortion issue. Wow, that was some fantastic journalism.

Us Catholics better get united and start being obedient to our church and her teachings. It starts in your parish. Get involved!

“****” Hmmm. I thought “tripe” has five *****s. 😃

Sounds like this thread is getting into a political squabble. I’m glad Mrs. Palin has the sand to speak her mind, let alone to walk the talk.
