Hi TIA,
Built around our usual liturgy, we had a processional which started with the account of Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Many of the members then followed the pastor into the sanctuary carrying palms.
In addition, our pastor chanted all of Luke Chapter 23. It was quite beautiful and moving.

In the Orthodox Church, we have the regular liturgy with a few additions. In between Matins and the Liturgy we have a procession around the church (outside) singing Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, etc…and everyone held palms. Then the rest of the liturgy continued as usual 🙂
 
Just as with other Sunday’s the "high church " Protestants, generally the ones were the Pastor’s wear robes, the service will look like a Catholic one. In the low church, where the Pastor wears a suit or casual clothes as an easy guide, there will be no ceremonial reenactment of the entry to Jeruselum and the message may or may not reflect the season.

Just like yours and JonNC’s 😉 We begin with the Liturgy of the Palms, and the remainder of the service is our usual Eucharistic liturgy. Great topic; I’d actually love to hear about other kinds of services too!

And may all here have a blessed Holy Week!

I saw one of these Orthodox processionals last year; it was very cool! 👍
 
In my wife’s Wesleyan church, palms were handed out, the sermon was about Palm Sunday, and the rest of the service was the same…informal.
 
St. Paul’s, the Anglican parish in my town, starts in the parish hall where all the kids wear costumes like Israelites and they carry banners with a Christian virtue written on it. Then everyone takes their palms that have been blessed, carrying them down the sidewalk out the side of the church building to the entrance. They sing “All Glory Laud and Honor” while they walk. They stop twice, pray, and continue to the entrance. They come inside and the entire service is identical to the Roman Catholic service, Passion Play and all…worship, coffee hour follows…
