Daniel and Nehemiah prophesied Messiah’s coming. Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem was given in Daniel 9:24-27. The specific year and day given confounded St. Augustine, who relied on the Roman calender, but he wisely kept the faith. When these figures are correlated with the Jewish calendar, done by the Greenwich Observatory in modern times at the request of a former Scotland Yard detective, using the 360 day Jewish canonical year correlates with 32 A.D. Daniel and Nehemiah prophesied Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem as the Shepherd-King riding on the symbol of peace and bounty, the work vehicle of the day, the donkey; not a war-horse. If only the people had known the time of their visitation–but they were too Romanized, probably using the Roman calendar. Praise God that there’s nothing to quibble about here.

I’m convinced that He was crucified on Friday 3rd April 33AD. The main reason for my belief is the lunar eclipse that occured that day which caused the moon to be “blood red” (Joel 2:31, Acts 2:16).

I’ve often been intrigued and interested to research the Daniel prophecy… but I’ve always been disappointed.

Joel 2:31 is not about Good Friday or the crucifixion of Jesus. It is an end times prophesy so your dating method is erroneous. Jesus had to be born before 4 BC as that was the year that King Herod died. King Herod was the Jewish King who ordered the slaughter of the babies in Bethlehem that were 2 years and younger. Obviously he could not have done that after he died. His death in 4 BC is pretty well established historically. So Jesus could have been born as early as 6 BC.

Sure, but that just means HE was older at death. Scripture never says HE was 30 or 33 years old when He died. If born in 6BC, He would have been 35 or 38 years old (subtracting out the nonexistent year 0).

Actually, making it an end times prophecy then trying to understand the details of dating is backwards.

Through the ages many have not believed the eschatology you propose, and have instead seen this as being fulfilled in Christ at the Cross.

In a scriptural context: What greater tribulation than a Holy God placing himself in the hands of sinful men? He was rushed to the cross, and had the days of His tribulation not been shortened, had he been beaten to death and never made it to the cross, no flesh would have been saved.

In sensus plenior the sun is Christ in Holiness and law. As the Light, when Christ came into the world he condemned us (John 3). The sun turned to darkness indicates that Law has been changed to grace. The moon represents Christ in the flesh and “life is in the blood” and so Christ in the flesh is alive… He is risen!

And what greater day or what day more terrible than that of the cross? And what followed the cross?

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered:

He who condemns a righteous man is an abomination… so Judas was an abomination. The Father left the Son on the cross, and the Son was made to be sin. What greater desolation… where is God on earth? So the kiss of Judas is the abomination that caused desolation.

When Jesus said “It is finished!” I believe it.

If it is literal, have you checked to see if the billions of the whole population of the world will fit into the valley of Jehoshaphat?

So if the dates make it speak of the cross, it is consistent with Christian beliefs until the mid nineteenth century.

Scripture doesn’t cite Jesus’ age at the time of His crucifixion, but St. Luke does let us know:
