Palm Sunday?

Some help please. The gospels tell the story of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem on, what has come to be known as Palm Sunday. Do any of the Church fathers explicitly say that it was Sunday? Any quotations appreciated.

John 12:1
Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

John 12:12-13
On the next day, when the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, they took palm branches and went out to meet him, and cried out: “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord…”

That’s all I have for you at the moment. I haven’t worked out the daily chronology from there.

Don’t know if this is what you were looking for but the apocryphal work, Assumption of Mary, written about 400, says in part, “…on the Lord’s day the children of Jerusalem came forth with palm branches to meet him, saying, Hosanna in the highest, blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord; and on the Lord’s day He rose from the dead…”
