Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death–Amen

I will remember you in my prayers this evening. Also, I recommend meditating on 1 Peter 5:7 it may help you in your struggles.

I will pray for you as well, but I have a question -

Do you have any reason to believe that the panic attacks and dry mouth are related?

I also have both, but I never thought they might be connected.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

The Lord bless and keep you
The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
The Lord turn toward you and give you peace

It may help to pick a phrase that has meaning to you, such as Jesus I love you, or Jesus I trust in you, etc. Think or repeat this phrase several times a day. Then when panic attacks come, think about your phrase over and over. It could possibly help to bring more calmness into the situation.

This caught my eye as I was getting ready to sign off after joining the Forum. I also suffer from anxiety and have heart disease. If you’re taking anti-anxiety medication and maybe some other meds, as well, that could be the cause of dry mouth. You need to speak to a pharmacist or doctor about it, especially if you have other symptoms like foamy saliva. I always check out my medications and their interactions on drugdigest.org. I will pray for you.

Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

:gopray:

(meds could do this. Even meds unrelated to the panic, i.e., blood pressure pills, pain killers especially. Also, in the midst of a panic, there is a tendency to breathe quickly through the mouth only. We aren’t aware of it because we are too busy panicking. It’s what I do. Hope this helps!)

OUR LADY OF MENTAL PEACE PRAYER

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility and
Mother of Hope,
look upon me in this time
of disquiet and weakness.
Still my restless spirit,
teach my searching heart to know
that God’s love for me
is unchanging and that the suffering
which He may will for me now
is to draw me closer to Him.
Let thy gentle peace and His —
which the world cannot give —
be always with me, that I may
be sanctified: and then:
I beseech thee
for the grace to bring this
peace to others.
Jesus, My Savior, I give myself
entirely to Thee through Mary:
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
pray for me!
Amen.

My brother suffers from panic attacks, and experiences dry mouth. The dry mouth in his case is due to medications related to controlling the panic attacks.

I used to have a problem with a chronic state of panic, but learned just under 6 months ago that I had a heart problem. It is a form of tachycardia that has been helped with medications. The way the doctors discovered this was with a “tilt table test.” I am starting to wonder how many people have panic attacks that might benefit from this test. It is something worth asking your primary about. It took almost 15 years for me to finally have a doctor catch this, but I feel so much better. Just a thought.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen
